How It All Started

One of the top questions I get is, “How did you get started, AJ?”
The short answer — my passion for art and crafting. But really, it’s the influences in my life that led me to open the studio.

My dad was the original “OG” sign maker in our family. Years ago, he started a Christmas tree farm and sign-making business, and that creative spark has always stuck with me. My mom encouraged me to follow my heart and study art in college, where I discovered my love for metal fabrication, sculpture, fabric, drawing, and, of course, wood.  So of course, when I did open the studio, my husbands help and encouragement to make my dream come true.

Opening the studio was a bucket-list dream — a space where friends, family, and even strangers can come together to create, relax, and let go of life’s stressors through craft and good company.

Our motto, “Enter as Strangers, Leave as Friends,” isn’t just a saying — it’s what we live by. Around here, we laugh, create, and sometimes get a little crazy… and that’s exactly how we like it.
